Well, you did it again!!! Everything was perfect from the appetizers to the dessert. The ahi tuna was amazing -And Angee prepared it perfectly. Everything else was delicious – a perfect menu. There was a small problem between Ronnie and the bernaise sauce (no shallots). We are going to try a recipe tonight with the leftover tenderloin – and will send it to you if it’s good.
Angee and Staree are the best!!! prepared and cleaned up to perfection. And so nice – my children remembered them from when they were here before- hugs all around. I loved that you sent dishes for all of the food- so much easier and the large bag of ice was very helpful for the huge shrimp and the extra for the bar.
The flowers were beautiful and Angee decorated the food beautifully. All in all a perfect evening – everyone went home fully filled and happy. And those cookies and the lemon squares- I can never get my lemon squares tart enough and yours were perfect. Loved the pecan shortbread, Ronnie’s favorite. And the delicious flan was kind of overlooked by the crowd, (I supplied Ronnie’s favorite cake and ice cream) but I will be snacking on it as long as it stays fresh – beautifully plated and the girls were so careful with it getting out of the car – didn’t want it to crack.
So all in all it was a great evening for Ronnie – and all of our family – thank you for taking such care with everything. You are still #1 in our book –
Again—thanks for a wonderful dinner – a perfect way for Ronnie to enter his 91st year – surrounded by his family.

Coconut cake for Susan’s birthday was delicious! We had some yesterday and again today, and we just put the rest in the freezer for another treat later on. We especially enjoyed the cake base itself, and I liked the fact that the frosting wasn’t overly sweet which is my main complaint about most cakes. And, of course, it was beautiful to look at. The weather was beautiful so we ate outdoors. The chicken marsala and apple pie were big hits. The rice and asparagus were wonderful as well. Lior Lev Sersarz is a world renowned chef and “Spice Master” and we are so lucky to have him in our very own backyard for an up close and personal demo at the Dunwoody Nature Center. With much trepidation, we did a first for Or Hadash during Yom Kippur…we offered a community break fast meal. We were going outside of our comfort zone. Who would come? Anyone? How many? What if they don’t like the food? Vegan and Gluten Free and Nut Free and Sugar Free? Who is going to want to cook between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, with Shabbat on both sides and a Sukkot a day after that.
But, fortunately, we had the solution, our secret catering weapon, Annette. About 8 weeks out I teased the idea, “So, planning any cooking for Yom Kippur”. Her response back, what do you want me to make, for how many, and when? In 20 minutes we had it planned, no drama, no concern, the numbers kept floating until 4-5 days out, no issues.
The last thing, and truly, the last thing I wanted to be concerned with after Neilah and Havdalah was serving a meal. And I wasn’t. It was perfect. 120 members ate in community, not having to rush home, not grabbing the hunk of challah and a bottle of water, but grabbing a bagel, whitefish, kugel and a chair. The davening team sat with the members, volunteers and staff. A perfect end to the holiday, a perfect start to the new year.

Hi Annette, I really want to thank you for two terrific wine tasting dinners. The food was delicious. They particularly liked the chicken as you said they would. It was too spicy for me but I was the only one. So that says something about me being far out of the mainstream! The staff was better than excellent. They did a perfect job in every respect and were easy to work with. They left the clubroom well cleaned which is not always the case, in spite of what the building requires. Everything was absolutely delicious – the tenderloin was unbelievable, and the sides were a great success. Annette, Thank you SO much for making the MOST delicious Kiddush for Talia’s Bat Mitzvah. All of your food was absolutely amazing. I can personally vouch for everything that was gluten free, including the best gluten free noodle kugel I have ever had! I’m going to crave that for the rest of my life. The gluten free bagels were my favorites, and numerous other people told me how much they appreciated having their own gluten free table with incredible food options! The egg salad and whitefish were pure perfection, the fruit was amazing. And as far as all the gluten-filled baked goods, kugels and quiches, everyone raved about them (and every bit of food) to me. I’m so grateful to my parents and Myrna and Gene for sponsoring the Kiddush, but I just had to thank you personally for making it so absolutely perfect and delicious. Hi Annette, The Shabbat dinner and Kiddush were both wonderful! The food was incredible! My family couldn’t stop raving about the dinner, and kept getting more to eat. Mike and I were a little sad about that since it decreased our leftovers to take home 🙂

Hi Annette, What a terrific evening we had. The servers were fabulous. They were so pleasant to work with and did EVERYTHING!!! I did not lift a finger to prepare or clean up from this event. The food was delicious and presented in a beautiful way. I love how they fluff up the table with linens and use height to provide dimension when setting the buffet.
Here are just a few things I can think of that are extremely helpful for someone like me . . . (Who does not excel at planning events but loves to host them.) 1. You provide confident recommendations that are appropriate for the event. You are easy to communicate with and very very prompt with replies. 2. You have the ability to supply everything. From organizing linen/table/dish rentals to supplying the serving pieces. 3. Your staff knows how to best set up the event so there is a proper flow to the evening. They did not ask a million questions during the event. They just knew what to do. They even packed up leftovers and put them in the fridge! 4. Your staff is discreet when clearing things to begin the closure of the event.
