MENU CHOICES AND HEATING INSTRUCTIONS

BE SURE TO REMOVE ALL PLASTIC WRAPPINGS BEFORE HEATING ANY ITEMS

Charoset – keep chilled and serve chilled

Appetizer – serve all chilled with crackers/matzo
Chopped egg and onions
Roasted eggplant spread
Chopped “liver” vegetarian
Chopped chicken liver – the real deal

Chicken soup and matzo balls
Defrost matzo balls by placing bag on a flat cookie sheet
Defrost chicken soup
In an appropriate size pot for the amount of soup, on a very small flame, warm chicken soup until hot. Keep flame low so the soup does not boil away
Place matzo balls into the soup the last 30 minutes before serving

Entrée
Sesame almond chicken – defrost completely before heating and bring to room temperature – preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake chicken uncovered 20 – 25 minutes or until golden brown and sizzley

Honey Dijon glazed salmon – keep chilled – bring to room temperature before warming – or enjoy at room temperature – to warm, place salmon on microwave safe dish and heat for 1 -2 minutes on low power just to get the chill off

BBQ and natural gravy brisket – defrost completely before warming and bring to room temperature-  preheat oven to 350 degrees – cover brisket container with silver foil – heat for up to one hour until heated through

Sweet and sour cabbage rolls – keep chilled – defrost completely before warming and bring to room temperature – preheat oven to 350 degrees and wrap rolls with silver foil –  heat for up to 40 minutes until heated through – can be reheated in microwave in 1-2 minute intervals

Turkey – bring silver foil packets to room temperature before serving – place packets on a cookie sheet -warm in preheated 350 oven for 10 – 15 minutes until warm

Turkey breast – as above

Starch
Fruit kugel/savory matzo kugel/apricot kugel – keep chilled – defrost completely before warming and bring to room temperature – preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake kugel for 25 – 35 minutes until a knife inserted in center comes out clean – for a less crispy top, cover with foil the last 10 minutes before heating

Carrot & sweet potato tsimmes – keep chilled – defrost completely before warming and bring to room temperature – for smaller portions, place in microwave safe dish and warm in 1-2 minute intervals until hot – for 8 x 8 or 9 x 13 size pans, preheat oven to 350 degrees and place tzimmes in oven lightly wrapped with foil and heat for 30 minutes or until heated through

Carrot ring – keep chilled  – defrost completely before warming and bring to room temperature – preheat oven to 350, remove all wrapping, and bake 30 minutes uncovered or until brown and a knife comes out clean when inserted into center

Sweet potato praline – keep chilled – defrost completely before warming and bring to room temperature – preheat oven to 350 degrees, remove all wrapping, and bake for 20 – 30 minutes until warm and bubbly

Better-than-classic creamy mashed potatoes – keep chilled – bring to room temperature – lightly cover potatoes with silver foil and place in preheated 250 oven and warm low and slow until heated through – smaller portions can be placed in microwave and heated on low temperature in 1-2 minute intervals

Candied sweet potatoes/roasted sweet potatoes – remove wrappings and place in microwave safe dish heating in 1-2 minute intervals until heated through – or place in preheated 350 oven covered with foil and heat for 15 – 20 minutes until heated through

Fresh Vegetables & Salads – keep chilled – bring to room temperature before heating – place on microwave safe dish and heat in 1-2 minute intervals until heated through
Haricots verts
Asparagus roasted or steamed
Broccoli steamed
Colorful organic carrots roasted with mushroom and baby pearl onion saute

Spinach souffle – defrost completely – remove wrappings except for the parchment paper top – bake in 350 preheated oven for 30 – 40 minutes until a knife inserted in top comes out clean

Yellow squash souffle – defrost completely – remove wrappings – bake in preheated 375 oven for almost 1 hour until golden brown and bubbly

Portobello mushroom caps – warm in preheated 350 oven uncovered for 15 – 20 minutes until crumbs are warm and crunchy

Cranberry crunch – bring to room temperature before heating – remove wrapping – bake in preheated 350 oven to 25 – 35 minutes until topping is brown and bubbly

Fresh cranberry relish – keep and serve all chilled
House made applesauce
Marinated cole slaw

Pastries – keep all pastries frozen until dinner time – while frozen – separate types and place on serving dish – they will defrost in 1 hour or less
Apricot bars
Lemon squares
Chocolate chip cookies
Chocolate brownies
Cream cheese brownies
Chocolate chip mandel bread
“Oatmeal” cookies

Desserts – keep all desserts frozen until ready to defrost – before defrosting, unwrap item and place on serving dish – let desserts defrost on serving platter
Apple cake – remove wrapping, lightly cover with foil, defrost completely and slice into desired pieces- keep tightly wrapped to ensure freshness through the next few days

Chocolate mousse cake – KEEP FROZEN until 20 minutes before serving – unwrap and place on serving dish and cake will defrost on cabinet until serving time – cut into desired slices

Blueberry crisp – bake uncovered in 350 degree preheated oven for 30 – 40 minutes until warm and bubbly – can be made ahead

Cheesecake with strawberries – remove wrapping , place on serving dish and defrost completely  – keep chilled in refrigerator until ready to serve – slice in desired pieces and drizzle strawberries over

Flourless chocolate cake – remove wrapping and place on serving dish – defrost completely –  cover lightly and keep refrigerated until 30 minutes before serving – cut with sharp knife- maybe dipping in water before slicing next piece

Carrot cake –  remove wrapping, place on serving dish and defrost completely – cut into desired pieces

Sponge cake – defrost completely before serving – keep wrapped in plastic wrap at all times to ensure freshness

The Kids’ Table
Roasted chicken legs – warm in microwave safe dish in 1-2 minute intervals until heated through

Meatballs in glaze – defrost completely – warm in microwave safe dish in 1-2 minute intervals until heated through

Passover mac n cheese – defrost completely – remove all wrappings and then lightly cover with foil – in preheated 350 oven bake for 30 minutes covered – remove covering for last 10 – 15 minutes

Carrot muffins – defrost before serving – microwave 15 seconds on lowest power before serving

Granola – keep on cabinet
